MinPos and MaxPos

MinPos means minimum possible score.  Every column in the Scores worksheet has a cell for MinPos.  If the score in the column has been created by Elmillon, MinPos is the minimum possible score which anyone could obtain, as computed by Elmillon.

MaxPos, of course, refers to the maximum possible score which anyone could obtain.

The Scores worksheet also has a row headed "Min", and another headed "Max".  Min is the lowest score obtained; Min can never be less than MinPos, but it can be, and often is, greater than MinPos.  For example, on a test involving 10 addition problems, MinPos would be zero, but Min will be zero only if someone failed to get any of the problems correct.

Max refers to the highest score obtained on the test, or scale.  The greatest possible value for Max is MaxPos.  Max can never be greater than MaxPos; Max is often less than MaxPos, and, when this is true, it means no-one got a "perfect" score on the test or scale.
